Here is a great set of tutorials- covers everything

The first video from the pdf above-

Here are some specific instructions for uploading to dropbox for due date along with some help with printing:

I want 2 things from you:

  1. I want to have a packaged folder of your indesign file including all your links- zipped and put on dropbox.
  2. I want a pdf at print quality of your CD

For number 1- in Indesign, once you have finished your design, go to FILE >PACKAGE  look over the dialogue box that comes up and check for any missing links. Click Package and name your folder. A folder will be made that basically packages all your psd’s Ai files and your indesign file as well as fonts etc.. all tidily ready to be handed off to your printer or designers. For uploading, you will need to compress this folder. Navigate to the folder in your finder, highlight it and  and use FILE>COMPRESS to create a ZIP file of this folder- upload this to dropbox or burn to CD for me.

For number 2. In indesign got to FILE>EXPORT> choose adobe print in dialogue box

and hit SAVE. A new dialogue box will come up and check it for missing links etc and make sure high quality print is selected up top. hit EXPORT. This will create your pdf. Upload to dropbox.

For Printing: Use your pdf to print, via adobe acrobat pro

Open file, go to print and make sure you choose, print both sides of paper. Your dialogue box should look like this if you want to use the booklet setting which will take your pages and print them 2 to a page:

You may also want to do this manually, one reason, so you can control how the printer prints the front and back, by manually rotating it from the printer, or to put a different type of LASER paper in the manual feed. This is the setting you would use for that, (may also be called an output tray):
